Miguel Cabrera is already considered the best all around hitter in the game.  Tonight he proved it on National TV.

Miggy helped the American League to an early 3-0 1st inning lead when he dropped a 2 run bomb on the National League starter Adam Wainwright.

Miguel Cabrera is already considered a great player but World Series performances like this help great players become legendary.

The two-run blast in the 1st inning was Miguel Cabrera’s first home run in 9 All-Star appearances.

The home run put Miguel Cabrera in line for a possible All-Star Game MVP.  He will have some competition though as Derek Jeter led off the bottom of the 1st inning with a double and later scoring on Mike Trouts triple. Jeter later singled in the bottom of the third.

Cabrera came up again in the bottom of the 3rd innings and lined out to shortstop Troy Tulowitzki with Derek Jeter on second base.
