Moving along with our Fantasy Football Power Rankings here at Detroit Jock City we’ve covered quarterbacks, running backs, and wide receivers. Now it’s time to talk tight ends.

While we all likely know who number one is on this list, what we don’t know is how everyone else stacks up after the New Orleans Saints, pass catcher. Let’s take a look at the best of the rest at the TE position.

Jace Amaro

TE, New York Jets

Amaro is basically a receiver in a tight end’s body and will be an instant offensive upgrade for the Jets at tight end. I would watch his preseason efforts to see how much of the first team snaps he gets and I would project him as a TE2 now.

Heath Miller

TE, Pittsburgh Steelers

Age and injuries could start to take their tole. He’s more of a rock solid TE2 at this point. He does have more value in PPR formats though.

Martellus Bennett

TE, Chicago Bears

Bennett does not put up monster numbers, due to RB Matt Forte, WR Brandon Marshall and WR Alshon Jeffery stealing so many targets, but he is a solid TE2 in this explosive offense.

Antonio Gates

TE, San Diego Chargers

The old man still produces by getting 872 yards and four scores a year ago. There is always questions regarding his ability to stay healthy and now there is a breakout star in the making in Ladarius Green behind him on the depth chart, but Gates’ ADP is disgusting. His value is insane right now.
