Detroit Lions Injury Report Preseason Week 2

The Detroit Lions left the Ford Field on Saturday with a victory and also relatively healthy.  The injuries to Theo Riddick and Tahir Whitehead were minor as they were back at practice on Monday.

The Detroit Lions activated Ziggy Ansah from the PUP list on Tuesday. That makes WR TJ Jones the only player left on the list.

In fact all the Lions could play if needed but the coaching staff may hold some players out to save them for the season. Fans should expect some healthy scratches for the game against Oakland.

Calvin Johnson – Doubtful To Play

There are no official injury reports during training camp but if there was one Megatron WOULD NOT be on it.  Calvin is healthy enough to play but Jim Caldwell may opt to rest Calvin for most of the preseason.  Afterall Calvin Johnson has nothing to prove.

Ziggy Ansah – Will Not Play

As stated above Ziggy Ansah is off the PUP list and cleared to practice with the team. Although Ansah has been working on the side with trainers, Jim Caldwell feels Ziggy needs a full week of practice before seeing any game action.
