Detroit Red Wings And Danny Dekeyser To Talk Contract

It has been a usually quiet off-season for the Detroit Red Wings.  Not only did they fail to land any of the big name free agents but the Wings have been slow to sign some of their own free agents causing a little anxiety in Hockeytown.

Now with training camp approaching it seems there may be some movement on the contract negotiations with defenseman Danny Dekeyser.

Danny Dekeyser is a restricted free agent and expected to return which is probably why both sides have taken their time getting agree on terms. That said, it sure would feel better to get this deal done considering the Detroit Red Wings thin blue line.

The Red Wings have another key contract to wrap up before training camp begins.  Daniel Alfredsson remains unsigned and the Wings would like to have him back at the right price.  The key to signing Alfredsson will be his desire to endure another NHL season. If the two sides can find the spot where desire and price meet then Alfredsson will likely be back with the Red Wings in 2015.
