Who To Start

Peyton Manning, QB, Denver Broncos – Start Peyton Manning?! Yes, you should. Manning put up more fantasy football points than any other player last year, and this year the Broncos offense may be even better. Some have quivered at Manning’s age (38) but do not fret. Manning is quite possibly the best signal caller of all-time and will dominate defenses again in 2014.

This week he takes on the Indianapolis Colts, his former team. Last year the Colts defense ranked 19th in the NFL and this matchup could prove to be a high scoring affair. The Broncos are at home this time however, and if Manning is on your roster, you obviously need to start him.

Too early for the “Manning 4 MVP chants”?

Colin Kaepernick, QB, San Francisco 49ers- Kaepernick went through his fair share of ups and downs in 2013. The key to his week 1 matchup is the team he is facing — the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys were atrocious in 2013, ranking 26th in yards per pass allowed and 30th in passing yards per game allowed.

According to Pro Football Focus’ grades, Dallas features just one “good starter” (Harry Melton), six “average starters,” four “below-average starters” and one “poor starter.” Additionally, Orlando Scandrick and Jake Hamilton are both suspended for the first four games of the season.

If you’re still unconvinced, I’ll let USA Today‘s Lindsay Jones sway you:
