The Detroit Lions defense continues to come though when the team needs it most, proving all of us right that expected the Detroit D to be No. 1 in the NFL throughout the season. It was obvious they would be dominate, wasn’t it?

Ok, maybe not. But, maybe I shouldn’t have been as big of a surprise as it was.

After all, the Detroit Lions have drafted three defensive lineman in the first-round of the NFL Draft since 2010. (Ndamukong Suh, Nick Fairley, and Ziggy Ansah)

They also hired the former defensive coordinator of the Baltimore Ravens, Tery Austin. The Ravens defense  has been known for it’s defensive comportment for the past decade.

Truthfully the Detroit Lions defense really just lived up to the potential that was there all along.
