The NFL Draft is less than two weeks away and the talk about who the Detroit Lions should select is ever-growing. Some want a skill player while others want a guy on the line on both sides of the ball. Nevertheless there are guys that come up every year that would only hurt the Lions and for that reason, I would be remiss if I didn’t bring my JUST SAY NO!!! series into the NFL Draft world.

Here are 4 players the Lions should do everything they can to avoid:

Randy Gregory

There’s no doubting that Rand Gregory could have been a top pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. But after testing positive for Marijuana at the combine, it’s expected that Gregory will fall in the draft. Whether that means to mid 1st round or into the 2nd, remains to be seen.

Regardless of his talent, if the Lions have a shot at Gregory at 23 they should kindly say “no thank you” and move on. If it’s a one time thing or not is irrelevant. Anytime a prospective employee fails a drug test during the interview process, it’s usually a sign of things to come. Perhaps Randy could learn from Josh Gordon’s mistakes.
