Throughout their history, the Detroit Lions have had their share of first round draft picks dating back to the late 1930’s. Detroit has made some great first-round selections: Barry Sanders, Calvin Johnson, Robert Porcher, Herman Moore, Johnnie Morton, among others.

In that time, Detroit has also drafted some players that have solidied their places in Lions history and some in NFL history, in a not so positive way.

We all know it’s impossible to tell whether or not a first-round draft pick will live up to the expectations placed on them by the media and themselves. For these players however, I’m sure the Lions front office wish they had a reset button.
