Week Eight ended up being one of those crazy NFL Sunday’s that daily fantasy contests were almost single-handedly won by a single game. The Saint and Giants played in a shootout from wire to wire combining for 101 points scored and over 1,000 total yards between the two teams. Eli Manning and Drew Brees combined to throw 13 touchdown passes. If you were fortunate to roster either of these two quarterbacks or virtually any of the offensive weapons on either side, you probably had a pretty profitable weekend.

I was happy that Eli Manning was the top quarterback I had listed in my column last week as he easily surpassed value and had a great day. I really wasn’t on Brees as he hadn’t looked all that good so far this year and I just didn’t see his game coming. Quarterbacks were the strong point of my picks last week as Phillip Rivers and Matt Ryan both game through with really good games. My running backs had a disappointing week as Justin Forset and Marshawn Lynch never really got anything going in great match ups.

All three wide receivers that I highlighted found pay dirt making it a successful week for a majority of my picks. Like I mentioned last week, the sample size of numbers to pull from now is greater and we are starting to see some pretty clear trends. Smart players are already in tune with these numbers, but hopefully my picks are doing a good job of highlighting it as well.

If you have any suggestions or comments for me on these articles, please leave them. I would love to hear some feedback on how you are using these articles and also if there are some different things you might want to see. With that said, lets take a look at this slate.
