Detroit Tigers vs. Cleveland Indians: Series Game Times, TV Schedule, Live Stream

The Detroit Tigers begin their first series of 2016 against the division rival Cleveland Indians Friday night at Comerica Park.

The Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Indians will play the first three games of their 19 scheduled contests this weekend at Comerica Park. The Tigers won last year’s season series eleven games to seven.

The Tigers will have their hands full as pitching stallwarts Corey Kluber and Carlos Carrasco are scheduled to take the ball for the Indians on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

Kluber (6.16 ERA) has not prevented many runs this season, but his peripheral statistics (9.00 K/9, 3.57 xFIP) suggest he’s not pitching that poorly and might be suffering from simple bad luck.

Cleveland has begun the season with a ho-hum 6-7 start, but they’re still projected to win the AL Central by at least one projection method. It looks like a tight race, however.

A bit of history will be made on Friday night as Ramon De Jesus will be become the first umpire from the Dominican Republic in the history of the league.
