Will anyone challenge the Chicago Cubs this regular season? The Cubs record now sits at 40-17 putting them 8.5 games ahead of second place Pittsburgh in the NL Central. Great pitching couple with a patient approach at the plate has the Cubs rolling through every opponent they face.

In the AL Central, the Detroit Tigers are now chasing the Indians after seeing both the White Sox and Royals lead for a short time. Proving to be one of the better divisions in baseball, the Central is wide open at this point as the Tigers sit only 2.5 games back right now. However, they did lose all 6 games they have played against the Indians this season.

Around the rest of the league, the Astros are finally starting to show a little life as their young and talented roster appears to be putting things together. The Blue Jays and Rangers are pointed in the right direction too. Texas has been a surprise as they now sit at 36-22, holding the second best record in baseball.

Let’s take a look at the rankings.
