The preseason is complete, it’s time to review some of what we learned about the Detroit Lions from the exhibition season.

The Detroit Lions finished the preseason on Thursday night with a 2-2 record after a 31-0 home win against the Buffalo Bills. Of course, record and margin of victory tell us precious little about how the preseason went and what can be expected of a team in the regular season as a result.

After watching the games and the transaction wires, we gained some insight into what the Lions have, what they lack and how they attempt to improve the roster. Some of what we learned was merely confirmation of what we already knew while some answered questions that had been asked all off-season.

While not exhaustive, here are five things that were learned or confirmed about the Detroit Lions during the preseason.
