With the Detroit Lions set to take on the Seattle Seahawks in 2016 Wild Card action, here is all the important info you need for today’s playoff game.

The Detroit Lions came up short in their quest to win the NFC North but they did enough over the course of the regular season to earn their way into the NFL Playoffs. Their reward is a trip to face the NFC West Champion Seattle Seahawks in the Wild Card Round. Seattle is never an easy place to play, and the hometown fans are sure to bring the noise tonight.

Last season, the Lions got off to a slow start and one of those early-season losses came to the Seahawks in Seattle. Even so, that was one of the better games the Lions played early last season, falling on Monday Night Football by a 13-10 final score. Lions fans will remember that game not only for Calvin Johnson‘s fumble when it looked like he was going in for a go-ahead score but for the end of that play when the K.J. Wright illegally batted the ball out of the back of the end zone.

The stakes are so high with this being a playoff game that revenge for a game in the 2015 season won’t be on anyone’s mind, but that game should give the Lions some much-needed confidence. The Lions enter the postseason having lost each of their last three regular season games after having won five in a row before that. It’s not how any team wants to enter the playoffs but the Seahawks were just 3-3 in their final six games.
