The Michigan State Spartans will be without senior Eron Harris when they take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Thursday in East Lansing.

The Michigan State Spartans (16-11, 8-6) take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers (12-14, 6-8) on Thursday and will be without one of their key contributors, as senior Eron Harris will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.

The Spartans will be without Eron Harris for the rest of the season after he suffered a “significant knee injury” in Saturday’s loss to Purdue.

With Harris out, Alvin Ellis III will likely see more playing time and Michigan State will likely need even more production out of its two leading scorers, Miles Bridges and Nick Ward.

The Cornhuskers lost eight of nine games after starting conference play 3-0, and have won their last two games against Penn State and Ohio State. Given its poor record, the conference tournament is likely Nebraska’s only chance at an NCAA tournament bid at this point this season.

Ed Morrow, who did not play in the last meeting between these two teams three weeks ago, leads the Cornhuskers in rebounds, averaging 7.8 per game as well as 9.6 points. Tai Webster and Glynn Watson Jr. lead Nebraska in scoring with 17.7 and 14 points per game, respectively.
