After the Detroit Pistons signed another free agent guard to the roster, Peyton Siva must have seen the writing on the wall. According to Pistons beat writer Vincent Goodwill the Detroit Pistons have waived the former NCAA National Champion to make room for DJ Augustin.

This is a set back for Siva who had a strong showing in the Orlando summer league leading some to believe the Pistons would pick him up for a second year. But Stan Van Gundy needs veteran support off the bench and the Pistons seemingly did not have time for another project.

The Pistons also released Josh Harrellson to make room for veteran small forward Caron Butler. The 34 year-old butler was the other signing announced last Sunday and will provide veteran leadership of the bench in the front court.

The Detroit Pistons have made plenty of roster moves lately however one major move remains on the table.  Greg Monroe has yet to be signed after receiving a qualifying offer from the Pistons at the opening of free agency.
