April 2 – NCAA Tournament Final Four (National Semifinals)
April 4 – NCAA Tournament Final Four (National Championship)
April 5 – Detroit Tigers opening day at Miami Marlins
April 6 – Detroit Red Wings vs. Philadelphia Flyers in the final home game of the regular season.
April 7 – The Masters first round, Lansing Lugnuts home opener vs. Great Lakes Loons.
April 8 – Detroit Tigers home opener vs. the New York Yankees.
April 9 – Detroit Red Wings’ regular season finale at the New York Rangers, Eastern Michigan football spring game, West Michigan Whitecaps home opener vs. South Bend Cubs, Great Lakes Loons home opener vs. Lansing Lugnuts.
