Due to the fact that it is the last preseason game for Detroit, we wont expect to see a lot of action, if any at all, from star players such as Calvin Johnson, Matthew Stafford and Ndamukong Suh. Instead, a very large emphasis will be put of the guys that the coaches are still evaluating prior to the final roster cut on August 30th. 22 players will be cut that day as the Lions trim down to the league maximum 53 players.

A lot of good and possibly even deserving players may not make the team, so it is extremely important for those players ont he roster bubble to make a lasting impact before it is too late.

With that in mind, lets take a good look at the players that the Lions coaching staff will likely be keeping a watchful eye on during Thursday nights action.
