With the Detroit Lions set to take on the Philadelphia Eagles in week 5 of the 2016 NFL Season, here is all the important info you need for today’s game.

After last week’s loss to the Chicago Bears, the Detroit Lions‘ season already feels like is is teetering on the brink of disaster. Unfortunately, it’s an all too familiar feeling after last season’s 0-7 start. That slow start led to a house-cleaning in the front office and another season over at the halfway mark could bring changes to the coaching staff.

The Lions got things turned around last season but far too late. To make something of this season, the turnaround will have to come earlier and this week represents a good opportunity to start.

The Eagles have been one of the pleasant surprises early this season but they come to Ford Field as the first of a three-game homestand. The Lions are going to have to start winning games regardless of the strength of the opponent and picking up some home wins is the best way to do it.

With their next three games at home after starting with three of their first four on the road, a good stretch here would put the Lions back in the thick of it. On the other hand, a continuation of what we’ve seen from the team so far leading to more losses would have fans looking ahead to the 2017 NFL Draft before Halloween.
