The Detroit Tigers will return to Lakeland on Monday to take on the Atlanta Braves in Grapefruit League exhibition play.

The Detroit Tigers will return to Joker Marchant stadium on Monday afternoon after a 5-2 road defeat to the New York Mets on Sunday. Matt Boyd worked two innings of scoreless ball with two strikeouts, but Buck Farmer, Daniel Stumpf, Angel Nesbitt, and Kyle Ryan all allowed runs in relief.

Jordan Zimmermann will make his first start of spring training as he looks to bounce back from a rough second half of 2016. As usual, the great Evan Woodbery is on the ball with the pitching schedule.

Nick Castellanos will make his first start of the spring after battling illness. J.D. Martinez is also back in the lineup following some pectoral tightness. Here’s the full scheduled batting lineup.
