2013 NBA Draft: Detroit Pistons Draft Prospects Guards
By Tony Fischer
Victor Oladipo – Shooting Guard – Indiana
Big Ten fans remember Victor Oladipo well. Oladipo’s is a great defender and the combination of solid defensive skills combined with improving shooting ability led to a break-out season at Indiana. Oladipo has been projected to go as high as number two and as low as six. But if Orlando or the Kings draft a forward then it is quite possible Oladipo will fall to # 8.
NBA Draft net describes his overall potential this way: “At this point he’s more of a pure athlete then an offensive player, but he has time to grow there … Defensively he should be able to translate to the NBA quite easily …’
Oladipo’s defensive ability would be a welcome addition to the backcourt on a team that struggled defensively on the perimeter.
