2013 NBA Mock Draft: 1st Round
By Tony Fischer
#26 Minneota Timberwolves – Kelly Olynyk – Center – Gonzaga
Olynyk is getting looks as high as 11, so him falling to the Wolves is stroke of luck for new GM Flip Saunders. The Wolves need depth in the middle and they get it here in spades.
#27 Denver Nuggets – Tim Hardaway Jr – Shooting Guard – Michigan
The Denver Nuggets may lose Andre Iguodala so they need a guard. Hardaway jr is NBA ready.
#28 San Antonio Spurs – Mason Plumlee – Duke – Small Forward
The Spurs need help up front and Mason Plumlee can plug right in as a rotation player. He can also learn from one of the best big men ever to play the game.
#29 Oklahoma City Thunder – Alex Abrines – Shooting Guard – Spain
OKC will need depth at the shooting guard next year. No need to rush Abrines progress he can season for a year overseas and potentially contribute next season.
#30 – Phoenix Suns – Jeff Withey – Center – Kansas
The Suns got their point guard earlier. Now time to address the front court. Solid pick and will be a quality back-up big man in the NBA due to his defensive prowess and shot blocking ability.
