Miguel Cabrera

The Detroit Tigers power hitting third basemen had another excellent season winning baseballs MVP for the second consecutive year.

Even more amazing is that he basically did it on one leg. Cabrera was battling a hip injury for the majority of the 2013 season. Yet he produced some of the biggest moments and clutch hits in recent Tigers history.

Miguel Cabrera is simply the best hitter in baseball even when injured.  Cabrera hit 44 home run while leading the league in average, on base percentage, slugging percentage and OPS.

You have to go back to Hank Greenberg to find a hitter that dominates the league as Cabrera does.
