Detroit Lions 2014 Schedule Released: Full Schedule, Start Times And More

The Detroit Lions 2014 Schedule has been released and there are some dates worth circling the calendar for.

The Lions open the regular season with a Monday Night football game against the New York Giants. The Lions usually have primetime games later in the season. It will be great to have the Lions featured on opening weekend as one of the NFL up and coming teams.

Another special date for fans occurs on October 26th when the Detroit Lions head to London to meet the Atlanta Falcons. The game will still air live on Sunday but have a start time of 9:30 am.

The Lions then have a bye week following the London game in week 9. Mid season is a perfect time for a bye allowing teams to recover from injury for the playoff push.

On Thanksgiving Day the Lions will host the Chicago Bears. It will be the first time the Lions play the Bears this season.

The schedule sets up for an exciting finish to the 2014 season. The Lions close out the season by face all three division rivals in consecutive weeks. Everyone one of those games could have playoff implications as the NFC North promises to be hotly contested this season.
