Alright this is getting to be a little gosh darn ridiculous. For the third time in 4 years he Cleveland Cavaliers have won the NBA Draft Lottery. Or three of the last four years since losing LeBron James.

It was widely speculated after the 2011 Draft lottery that the NBA was desperately trying to make it up to the Cleveland Cavaliers after the very public and embarrassing loss of Leborn James to the Miami Heat. Now that Cleveland has won the lottery again, maybe the NBA has finally paid its debt to Dan Gilbert and the city of Cleveland.

Although Cleveland has drafted in the lottery for the past three season( including two first round picks) it is unlikely that a third will help the franchise deliver a championship to its desparte fans. Chances are that at the end of the 2015 season the Factory of Sadness will just continue manufacturing is annual quota of sports misery and suffering to Cleveland fans.

All of this may sound like sour grapes from a Pistons fan who is upset about losing their first round pick in the deepest NBA draft in decades.

There may be some truth to that.

However when Detroit Pistons fans are grinding their teeth about missing out on the first round of the 2014 NBA Draft, they can rest easy on one simple unavoidable fact.

At least we don’t have to cheer for the Cavaliers.
