The DJC Morning Drive focuses on the Detroit Pistons on Thursday. This week we have the extra excitement of the NBA Draft to talk about as Detroit Pistons President and Head Coach makes his preparations.

But without a first round pick the Pistons draft choices will be limited to players who fall into the second round.  That said SVG seems to have a clear vision and blueprint for rebuilding the Detroit Pistons.

That may include trading the biggest contract on the roster.

So lets take a look around the web to see what is being said about the Pistons and their chances in the NBA Draft and Free Agency.

From USA Today: Stan Van Gundy Likes The Pistons Roster

"Stan Van Gundy thinks more highly of the Detroit Pistons’ roster than you do. This is good news if you care about professional basketball here, because Van Gundy knows more about NBA players than you do."

From Lakers Nation: Magic Johnson Wanted To Play For Pistons

"Buss selected Magic Johnson with the first overall pick in the 1979 NBA draft and forever changed the storied franchise as a result. Interestingly enough, Magic had other intentions telling Dr. Buss’ daughter, Jeanie, he was only going to stay in Los Angeles for three years."

From the Freep: Mock Draft Pistons Select Joe Harris

"Chad Ford seems to agree with our very own Vince Ellis in his latest NBA mock draft. Both have the Pistons taking Virginia shooting guard Joe Harris at No. 38 overall in the second round. “Pistons boss Stan Van Gundy wants shooters and he needs players who can play right now. Harris is tough and one of the best shooters left on the board. He could be an immediate impact player for Detroit,” Ford wrote."

From Bleacher Report: Detroit Pistons NBA Draft Board

"The Detroit Pistons are without a first-round pick in the 2014 NBA draft, so they have just the No. 38 selection to find a player who can help in their quest to build a playoff team. After winning just 29 games in 2013-14, the Pistons could have had a lottery pick in the deepest draft in recent memory if not for shortsighted dealings and a terrible stroke of luck."
