Football is back! Detroit Jock City is happy to bring you our Detroit Lions Season Preview for the 2014 season. The Lions will kick their season off in a big way this year when they take on the New York Giants on Monday Night Football.

The Lions 2014 schedule is ranked at the 16th hardest of the 32 NFL teams, based on opponents’ winning percentage in 2013.

Keep in mind however that the strength of schedule rating can change throughout the year. In 2013 the Lions statistically started the season with the NFL’s toughest schedule, but by seasons end the difficulty of their schedule was ranked at 29th.

Below is the 2014 Detroit Lions regular season schedule.

In 2014 the Lions will take on all of the AFC East teams as well as all teams from the NFC South. They also close out the season with three division games, two of which are on the road at Chicago and Green Bay.
