 Who To Sit

Aaron Rodgers, QB, Green Bay Packers – Rodgers and the Packers head to Seattle to take on the Seahawks, the 12th man, and the Legion of Boom in week 1. While Rodgers is perhaps the most accurate quarterback in the NFL behind Drew Brees, his matchup this week puts him at a disadvantage.

Richard Sherman is likely to give Jordy Nelson and Co. plenty of trouble in week 1. My advice is to start Rodgers another day, and leave him on the bench for this one.

Adrian Peterson, RB, Minnesota Vikings – AP went No. 1 overall in both of my fantasy football drafts, and likely went first in many, many more. In week 1, Peterson faces the St. Louis Rams. In 2013, the Rams defense ranked No. 9 in the NFL for rushing yards against, and in 2014 the continue to have one of the best defensive lines in the league.

Furthermore, Matt Cassel at quarterback doesn’t seem very reassuring for the Vikings offense.

Rob Gronkowski, TE, New England Patriots – Anyone that knows me, knows that I’m not high on Gronk. I wasn’t in 2013, and once again I’m not this year. Gronkowski has been ridiculed by injuries and until he shows me some consistent play, I have little faith.

While the Pats tight end said, “I’m playing” in refrence to New England’s matchup with Miami in week 1, that is still no gaurentee. In my opinion, there is too much risk to start him, at least at this point.
