Last weeks picks were tricky and it played havoc with our staff and their weekely records. Only Tony Fischer managed a winning record last week going 7-4 but missing on both his lock and upset picks. Joel Greer on the other hand had a triumphant return. Despite posting only 4 wins he maintained a perfect record when picking his lock of the week.
This week features a number of premiere games on the ten game slate and our staff will try to rebound from a challenging week at the end of September.
Here are the results and standing thru last week.
It is an early judgement day for some of the teams on out slate of games this week. Nebraska travels to East Lansing to take on the Spartans in a game that has Big Ten championship implications. Nebraska is an 8 point underdog to Michigan State, a line that might be too big to pass up.
Standford travels to South Bend to take on Notre Dame. A two point favoite on the road Stanford will have to prove they can beat a team with a similar style. This will be a close game the could come down to the final snap.

Locks And Upsets
Zach Libby
Lock
Rutgers -3 Over Michigan
I have correctly picked Michigan to lose for the past two weeks, so why stop now? The offense didn’t improve last Saturday, the defense looked soft against Minnesota and they’ll be on the road rather than the Big House, or the place where fans go to suffer. Kind of seems like a no brainer to me based on the direction the Wolverines are taking move forward into conference play.
Upset
Nebraska +8 over Michigan State
Michigan State will win this game, but to ask them to cover an eight point spread against an undefeated No. 19 Nebraska team, which has arguably one of the best running backs in the FBS in Amerr Abdullah, who leads CFB with 848 all-purpose yards this season, is too much to ask for the Spartans, despite being at home.
Joel Greer
Lock
San Diego State +3 Over Fresno
San Diego (+3) over Fresno. SDSU can’t overcome the loss of its starting qb, wr, and linebacker.
Upset
Texas A&M over Mississippi
Should be a great battle of undefeated SEC teams. Texas A&M rides the arm quarterback of Kenny Hill, along with a stingy defense.
Tony Fischer
Lock
Eastern Michigan +23 over Akron
I normally don’t pick a game from the 10 game slate as one of my locks but this week I couldn’t resist. Eastern Michigan does have some talent on offense and Akron dosen’t have a strong enough offense or defense to warrant being a 23 point favorite. Take Eastern to cover the 23.
Upset
Ole Miss Over Alabama
This will be a knock down drag out SEC showdown. Ole Miss smells the upset and taking on an Alabama squad that is not as dominate as they used to be. Ole Miss will come away with this one and turn the SEC on its head.
