Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg are like peanut butter and jelly.  Both are very tasty by themselves but together there is nothing like it.  The Detroit Red Wings are hoping they can enjoy a few peanut butter and jelly sandwichs this season, something Wings fans were denied last season after both Zetterberg and Datsyuk missed most of the season with injuries.

Unfortunately this season seem to be shaping up like that last for Pavel Datsyuk.  The Red Wings center suffered a separated shoulder during the second game of the preseason and will miss the season opener against the Bruins.

If Datsyuk can stay injury free he could make the Detroit Red Wings a force to be reckoned with in the East.  If he can’t the Wings may have to go shopping for another jar of jelly.
