RB LeSean McCoy (PHI)

My oh my, LeSean McCoy has been one of, if not thee biggest fantasy football busts of the 2014 season. (Depending on where you rank AP’s criminal charges in the equasion) However, I have continued to give McCoy the benefit of the doubt, until now.

I’m benching McCoy, similar to his teammate Nick Foles as the Eagles head for Arizona to face the Cardinals and their stingy D. The Cardinals defense is currently ranked No. 1 against the run, having allowed the fewest amount of yards on the ground.

McCoy’s PPR  factor has also been a non-factor in 2014. The seemingly “huge” upside that was his pass-catching ability out of the backfield is no more. So far in 2014, McCoy has just 16 receptions for 74 yards.

Not exactly first-round pick production is it?

WR Keenan Allen (SD)

Keenan Allen is yet another major disappointment in 2014, at least from a fantasy football standpoint. While I wouldn’t yet consider Allen a lost cause or bust this season, his turnaround performance isn’t likely going to happen in week 8.

More from Detroit Jock City

The San Diego Chargers will face off with their division rivals, the Denver Broncos this week. The Broncos D has allowed an average of 242.3-yards per game through the air this season, but most a large chunk of that average has been late in games as team attempt to come from behind.

Allen has also been highly targeted be opposing defenses in 2014, as he was Phillip Rivers favorite redzone target in 2013.

Perhaps the Chargers week 9 match-up with the Miami Dolphins will be Allen’s return-to-form game of 2014.
