Welcome back to Detroit Jock City for our Fantasy Football Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Week 10 column. It’s been a record setting year for injuries in the National Football League, so setting the correct line up continues to get tougher by the week.

The good news is that the bye weeks are almost over, so your team should be back at 100 percent very soon. If you need some waiver wire advice check out my Fantasy Football Week 10: Top 5 Waiver Wire Targets.

Whether your making a playoff push, floating around the middle of the pack, of even if you’re thinking about throwing in the towel — make sure to give our Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Week 10 advice a read.

Start ‘Em

QB Ben Roethlisberger (PIT) – There is no hotter quarterback in fantasy football right now, then Big Ben. In the last two weeks Roethlisberger has scored a combined 80+ points. In two  “unfavorable” matchups, the Pittsburg Steelers signal caller has thrown 12 touchdowns.

In week 10 Big Ben faces the New York Jets. The Jets defense is giving up 20 points on average to opposing quarterbacks on the road. Short of an upset, Roethilsberger should put up quality decent numbers in the Big Apple.

QB Matt Ryan (ATL) – Matt Ryan has had an up and down season in 2014.

My inclination to put Ryan in your starting lineup for week 10 goes beyond performances this season. It’s based more on the defense that Ryan will be facing on Sunday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Bucs defense has struggled all season long against the pass, allowing an average of 19 points per game through the air.

It is hard to trust Ryan on the road and outside, but the fact that he has Julio Jones and Roddy White on the outsides is enough reassurance for me against Tampa Bay.
