When the Lions signed Tapp in the off-season, I was personally excited about it. It was by no means a blockbuster move. Yet- it was a move I felt would bolster the defense even more. I looked at Tapp as a guy that could play defensive end or step back and play linebacker. Either way he was a guy that I figured could get to the quarterback. What we got was a half a sack and stupid penalties at the worst possible times. At 30 years old on a line that boasts young up and comers with more production, that makes Tapp expendable.
