If you would have asked me about Raiola at the end of last year, I would have said to keep him. However, his performance is declining. Not to mention, his pointless stomping on the ankle of a rookie defensive tackle in the 4th quarter of a game that the Lions were winning, led to a suspension for the biggest game of the regular season. This has made me grow spiteful of Dom.
At 36 years old, I look at Dom to be the grown up in the locker room. He should be a leader yet instead he has been as immature as a rookie. Play aside, Attitude is an important thing when a team is trying be successful and turn the page. Dom represents everything that this team used to be and is trying to get away from. His stupid suspension and the act that lead to it help the team in no way. It did not put points on the board or wins on the record. It hurt the team and brought the dirtiest team in the league moniker back to the surface. For these reasons, I would have to quote Nsync and tell Dom “Bye, bye, bye.”
