National Signing Day 2015: Michigan State Football Recruiting Class Projected 3rd Best In B1G

National Signing Day is February 4th  and the nations elite football programs recruiting classes are starting to take shape.  After an incredible comeback bowl win against Baylor on national television, the Michigan State Football recruiting class is projected by 247 Sports to be the third best in the Big Ten.  The National Champion Ohio State Buckeyes are porjected to have the best class in the conference.

The Spartans recruiting class boasts 19 hard commits so far with 5 four-star and 14 three-star players ready to wear green and white next season.  That class could improve if a couple of Mark Dantonio’s uncommitted targets signs on the dotted line on Wednesday.

  • The two big prizes in this years recruiting class play on the offensive side of the ball.  Running back Larry Scott is ranked 56th overall and is the 6th best running back recruit in the country. The Spartans are also set to land Detroit Martin Luther King product and Guard Kyonta Stallworth.  The recruits signal Michigan State committment to the aggressive smash mouth style that has made them so successful under Mark Dantonio.

    The defending national champion Ohio State Buckeyes are projected to have the best recruiting class in the Big Ten with 24 hard commits including five-star recruit Justin Hillard. The 6 ft, 225 lb Hillard is the 6th best Outside Linebacker in the country and will no doubt terrorize the Spartans over the next four seasons.

    Surprisingly the 2nd best class in the conference belongs to Penn State.  The Nitnany Lions took another major step in rebuilding their national reputation by landing an incredible 13 four-star recruits.
