#1 Miguel Cabrera

When his career is over Miguel Cabera will be a first ballot hall of famer.  His back to back MVP’s in 2012 and 2013 are two of the best overall seasons by any hitter in major league baseball history. Nine all-star selections, five silver sluggers and two American League MVP awards validate Miggy’s number one spot on the all time first base list.

Even if his career ended today, Miggy’s career stat line of 390/1369/.320/.396/.960 is good enough on its own to get into the hall. But Cabrera’s career is far from over and before it is he could challenge the home run record.

Did we miss anyone? Do you think Darrel Evans, Prince Fielder or Lu Blue were good enough to crack the top 5?  Let us know what you think by commneting below.
