Detroit Lions Free Agency: JUST SAY NO!!! Part 2

Last week I was compelled to write an article about all the crazy free agents I had seen some Lions fans recommended The Lions should sign. Just when you thought it was safe to go back on the internet, more names were mentioned in great mass this week. Here is a new list of players that the Detroit Lions need to JUST SAY NO!!! to.

Chris Johnson

This one honestly shocks me, I really don’t see the draw there. Sure Chris Johnson once ran for over 2,000 yards. But that was in 2009. Since then the man they call CJ2K has been a shell of that 2009 season. He has rushed for over 1,000 yards since, but this past season Johnson finished with only 663 yards.

Stats aside Johnson is 29 years old and has already begun his decline that usually hits running backs at age 30. The Lions need a back to take them into the future, not just a body to collect a check. Even if he was fun to play on Madden.
