Detroit Lions Free Agency: Just Say No Part 3, The Final No
By Mike Payton
Frank Gore
Dec 28, 2014; Santa Clara, CA, USA; San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore (21) runs with the ball during the first quarter of the game against the Arizona Cardinals at Levi
I can’t deny that Frank Gore is one productive running back. But what I can say is that Gore will be turning 32 in May and why would the Lions want the most expensive 32 running back on the market? If Gore were willing to take little money for a year than I say go for it. Gore has rushed for 1,000 yards 8 times in his 10 year career and aged quite well.
But once again from the cheap seats, the Lions need the back of the future. Gore will undoubtably play football somewhere next season and he will be productive. But why spend the money on a year of productivity and put yourself right back into the same position next year?
