I know what you’re thinking. “Adrian Peterson isn’t a free agent” and you’re absolutely right. But this is a sequel and all bets are off. I don’t believe that Peterson will be cut by the Vikings this off-season but I have fully bought into the rumor of him being traded to Dallas. Both parties want it to happen and it likely will.

As for the Lions and Peterson it would not be a wise decision based off that fact that Peterson is 30 and has not played a down of football since September when he ran 75 yards against the Rams. Since then Peterson has been in the public eye for child abuse and just downright idiocy on twitter that makes people say “Adrian everybody is watching will please just shut up” Why would the Lions subject themselves to another round of the media circus? After an entire season of “where will you play Suh?” and “ask my agent” the last thing the Lions want to here is “why did you hit your son” or “do you believe that the NFL treated Peterson fairly?” Not worth it.
