This is late breaking news. DeAngelo Williams was cut by the Panthers an hour ago and Twitter and Facebook blew up with Lions fans asking for Williams.
Why? Williams is going on 32 years old this April and is coming off an injury plagued season that saw him run for 219 yards. Williams was a solid option in 2009 after his second straight 1,000 yard season. since then he hasn’t sniffed 1,000 yards and his 18 touchdown season of 2008 is long forgotten.
Williams will find work but if you’re thinking he’s the answer in Detroit you are sorely mistaken.
