We’ll start off with A.J. Hawk. I understand the thought here, Hawk holds the all time tackle record for the Packers and is a former Pro bowler. The issue is once again age and decline. Hawk is 31 years old and has been quiet lately. He had 29 less tackles and 4.5 less sacks than the year before. Even Packer writers will agree that Hawks days as a starting linebacker are over.
"Many Packer fans praising career of AJ Hawk, but one media member knows the truth: Hawks should’ve been cut 2 yrs ago http://t.co/Evyc4pfwz8"
Besides age, the Lions really are quite set at the linebacker position with Levy, Whitehead, Tulloch and Van Noy. Hawk would be lost in the shuffle. Look for him to sign with the Bears.
