2014 season recap
In the 2014 season Gose played in only 94 games for the Toronto Blue Jay. In those 94 games Gose registered a .226 batting average, a .301 on base percentage and a .293 OPS. In 239 at bats he had 54 hits, 8 doubles with one triple with two home runs. He only knocked in 13 RBI but also stole 15 bases.

In the field he had a .995 fielding percentage which amounted to only having one error while splitting time between all spots in the outfield. He was a good defensive piece for the Toronto Blue Jays while he trolled the outfield. His only error that he committed was in centerfield while with the Blue Jays.
2015 Season Potential
He will be a much needed defensive replacement over Rajai Davis. He will be useful in the fact that he can play all three outfield position so if you want to keep him in the lineup you can because he is able to play in any outfield spot.
As for hitting, he isn’t a power hitter by any means, yet he really isn’t supposed to be. His will probably hit about 10-15 home runs along with 20-25 RBI if hitters at the bottom of the Detroit Tigers line up are decent hitters. He will have at least 20 bases, but he could also have more with his speed and having more chances in playing a full season.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Weaknesses
Detroit Tigers
While he can be effective when he is on base, he needs to be able to get on more. Last season he had an OBP of only .311 and for a leadoff hitter that is not a productive leadoff hitter. He had 74 strikeouts and only walked 25 times, which could mean that he was swinging at bad pitches which for a young kid is sometimes a problem just because it takes time to learn how to pick your pitches well. Being around players like Miguel Cabrera will be a good thing for him if he listen to what Cabrera and the Tigers hitting coach has to say I’m sure he will fix that.
Strengths
His glove is a high point and one of his high strengths, that and his speed. He is very fast when he is on the base path. His speed is also very helpful in the field because he gets to balls quickly and can make great close catches that some outfielders tend to miss.

He is also young, being 24 with only three seasons in Major League Baseball and that is good. It helps give the Detroit Tigers roster a little bit younger look, and being younger with less wear and tear on his body will more than likely keep him off the DL which is always a good thing.
Depth Chart
He is listed as the starting center fielder for the Detroit Tigers
Fast fun fact
I couldn’t really find an interesting fact about Gose so here is a cool grand slam he hit last season as a Toronto Blue Jay.
