Health: Entering his 5th season,Walker has yet to miss any time due to injury. As the expected replacement for Fairley, health is very important.

Grade: 5
Big Play: For a man with one start under his belt, Walker has shown that he can make the big plays off the bench. This bodes well as he will be expected to be a pass rush threat. Per Andrew Shuster of Who Dat Dish, Walker had a +8.0 grade by Pro Football Focus.
Grade: 4
Dependability: With Fairley gone, Walker will be expected to be that #2 guy next to Ngata. Due to such a small sample size its hard to make a ruling.
Grade: 3
Smart Play: The good new is Walker has only been flagged twice in his career. The bad news is they were both roughing the passer. While it’s good to get to the quarterback, the Lions need to cut down on penalties like this in order to kill drives.
Grade: 3,5
Impact: Walkers impact will depend on how he fits the scheme. The fact that Walker is in Detroit is proof that they have no intentions of switching to a 3-4 defense. At this point I would expect Walker to start week 1 and show why he was an absolute steal for the Lions. Saints fans will sure miss him.
