2014 showed that the Lions are still in need of depth at the receiver position. This is one position I don’t see the Lions tending to in the NFL Draft. The Lions can find their #3 receiver in Denarius Moore for a bargain.

At 26, Moore is a surprise to me, then again so is Crabtree. How are these receivers still available in a pass first league? Sure they are not game changers or franchise improves, but they can make an offense a little scarier with their presence.

Moore took a back seat this past season and his stats suffered because of it. previous to that Moore provided the Raiders with over 500 yards receiving and 5 or more touchdowns in each of his first 3 seasons. I don’t want to say that having a solid quarterback would make a difference, but building a rapport with one does. The raiders went through four different starting quarterbacks in Moore’s time in Oakland. Imagine what Moore could do with Stafford and with Johnson and Tate soaking up all the coverage. Probably nothing spectacular but you get the point.
