After outscoring the Minnesota Twins 21-1 in their opening series, the Detroit Tigers are headed to Cleveland to take on the Indians for a three game weekend series. The 3-0 Tigers will take on the 2-1 Indians Friday at 4:10 pm, Saturday at 4:10 pm and Sunday at 1:05 pm.

Projected starts for the series:

Friday: A. Simon (0-0, 0.00 ERA) v. Z. McAllister (0-0, 0.00 ERA)

Saturday: D. Price (1-0, 0.00 ERA) v. C. Kubler (0-1, 2.45 ERA)

Sunday: K. Lobstein (0-0, 0.00 ERA) v. T. House (0-0, 0.00 ERA)

As for today’s projected line up for the Detroit Tigers:

Gose CF
Kinsler 2B
Cabrera 1B
V. Martinez DH
J. Martinez RF
Cespedes LF
Castellanos 3B
Avila C
Iglesias SS

Not to say the Minnesota Twins were some weak team, but that is exactly what I’m saying here and the Indians are the first actual team the Tigers are playing this season and these games may not go as easily as the three prior to it. However if the bats stay hot, pitching continues its nice roll and the defense continues being strong then the Tigers could see another sweep.

More from Detroit Jock City

One thing to look for in this series is how hot those Tigers bats stay. We could easily see the bats continue to boom and they have high scoring games against the Indians, however in the second game of the series we see last seasons Cy Young winner Corey Kluber and while he had a rough first outing this kid can pitch, so it will be interesting to see the line up against him.

Also to watch for is if the defense can continue to be a highly improved feature of the team. In the series against the Twins the Tigers only committed one error. The error was committed by Yoenis Cespedes and caused the first run all series for the Twins to score. However other than that the defense played great behind each starter. Here is a recap of the middle game of the series.

The must watch game

Like I said before Kluber will be pitching on Saturday and he will go against David Price. This could very well be a great pitching match duel that you will want to watch. Price had a great opening day start and will want to continue his fast roll on the season. It will be a good game to watch and see who will come out with the win.

Today look for Simon to come out strong on the season and make him show that he is the 5th starter that the Tigers have been in need for the past few season. I think the Tigers bats will hit around the Indians starter McAllister and the Tigers will get a win today.
