The urgency to fill this position on the other hand is there. The Lions at them moment have a pretty decent secondary. The re-signing of Rashean Mathis keeps that intact.

However, the ageless wonder is in fact aging and could be playing his last season in 2015. The Lions need to get a cornerback or two to both provide depth and allow Mathis to train his replacement. The Lions could grab guys like Eric Rowe, Trae Waynes or Marcus Peters with 23rd pick and have a guy that can rotate in at Mathis spot right away while taking lessons from the teacher himself.

The Lions can also take advantage in the late rounds by grabbing a guy Like Doran Grant from Ohio State.
