Any time that the Detroit Lions take on the Green Bay Packers I consider it a “key match up”. Week 13 of the 2015 NFL season will be no different. The Lions stout defense of 2014 made their first real statement of the season last year when they shut down Aaron Rodgers in Detroit.

This year they’ll have to do it again if they hope for the same outcome and the stakes will likely be as high as ever.

Wins against divisional opponents are always a premium in the NFL, especially late in the regular season, and especially against Green Bay. If Detroit can manage to defeat the Pack for the third straight year in the Motor City, the Lions may find themselves on their way to their second consecutive playoff birth for the first time in the 21st century.
