Eric Ebron – TE

Ebron is a great athlete, and last year I thought it’d be unrealistic to say he was going to have an amazing rookie year. Stafford getting no time to throw and Ebron having a tough time adjusting to the speed of the NFL. Nothing went right however, Ebron did trend up near the end of the year and that’s why he’s one of my breakout players.

Tony Gonzalez said on an interview with Jim Rome last October perfectly said why Tight Ends have tough time adjusting to the speed of the NFL game.

"Jim, you see these rookie TE’s and some flourish in their rookie years and I didn’t. It’s different for every player coming out of college when I ran a route up the middle it was more open. I could use my speed a lot more. In the NFL you have a window and as a Tight End, For me personally those windows I had in college closed a lot quicker, It’s all about adjustments."

Ebron struggled with just that the speed, but in 2015 I think he’ll be a lot better and with Stafford getting more time, I assume Ebron should be a player Stafford looks to in the pocket.
