Matt Millen or Joe Dumars

This was a toss-up between Joe Dumars or Matt Millen. Who ruined a team more? You could give it to both of them. Dumars ruined the Detroit Pistons over the last half of the 2000’s until he stepped down in as the teams President of Basketball Operations in 2014. While he was with the Pistons, the team made questionable trades, draft picks and never seemed to work out well for Dumars.

Yet, then there is Matt Millen who is hands down one of the worst General Managers in sports history. In his 8 seasons as the GM of the Detroit Lions the team had a record of 31-97, which was the worst in NFL history. Then if you look at the number of draft picks who turned out to be big draft busts that the man picked and the sad teams that fans watched until he was fired in 2008, it was just bad.

Either of the two are worth hating, but, Millen I would hate more because he really had no idea how to run a team and ran the Lions further into the ground than he needed to. He didn’t seem sorry by anything that he had done and really didn’t have to say sorry for anything. In fact, now he has a job doing play-by-play. At least he can’t ruin anything or anyone there.
