MLB Power Rankings: 1-5

2. It seems unlikely that the Twins will be able to maintain this pace, but they keep on having winning weeks and now find themselves in the Top 5. I’m the first to cry cluster luck, but even a .500 record the rest of the way would put them at 86-87 wins and possibly in the postseason.. 32-21. Last Week: 9. Minnesota Twins . 5. player

90. Washington took a big step back with a 1-5 record, dropping them from first to fourth in the rankings, but there’s no reason to worry just yet.. 29-25. Last Week: 1. Washington Nationals . 4. player

The Dodgers had a bit of a down week, but they can afford to stub their toe every now and then. They’ve had the best offense in baseball this year (120 wRC+), and their pitching staff has performed among the best in the game as well.. 31-23. Last Week: 2. Los Angeles Dodgers . 3. player. 71

Houston Astros . 2. player. 135. Houston just keeps on rolling. The Angels, Rangers, and Athletics all had good weeks in pursuit, but the Astros still boast the best record in the AL and a 5.5 game lead in the division.. 34-21. Last Week: 4

1. player. 32. The Cardinals have the best record in the game and have grown the biggest division lead of any division at 6.5 games. It’s time to give them the respect they deserve.. 36-18. Last Week: 3. St. Louis Cardinals
