Linebacker:

Detroit arguably has the best linebacker corps in the NFL, they have a talented starting group and last year they showed the depth with the loss of Stephen Tulloch and missed their second round pick Kyle Van Noy as he struggled to recover from core surgery.

DeAndre Levy has been a breakout star the last two seasons and took another step forward last year as he improved in run support.

The Verdict:

Detroit’s LB corps is easily their deepest position on the team and to me they’re the reason Detroit made a leap to an elite defense. Of course Teryl Austin is the man behind this operation and he deserves a lot of the reason why Detroit is where they are, especially since he came from a defense that relied on their linebackers.
